What is a Modular Unit?

A modular unit is a temporary building which TRU has designed, to be capable of being de-constructed, transported and re-built anywhere, regardless of location or site access. There are various uses for the building, it can be used for:

- Kitchen
- Bathroom
- Storage

What is an Internal Unit?

An Internal Unit is a temporary solution that is capable of being built within an already existing building, if there is no accessible room outside. These units can be installed in your house, providing you with a temporary Kitchen or Bathroom.

How big are the Modular Units?

Our Standard unit is 2x2m but can be extended to suit your needs.

How big are the Internal Units?

Internal Units come in various sizes for the Kitchen. Our standard size for the kitchen has a footprint of 1.2mx2m – the kitchen can have additional cabinets added on for your needs.
The Internal Bathroom has a footprint of 1.9m x1m.

Are the Units warm in the winter?

Yes! All our units are made with 70mm compact insulated panels, which reduces heat loss, and all units have an energy efficient radiator installed.

How long does it take to install a Modular Unit?

The Modular Unit can be erected and fully installed with all fully working appliances within 3 hours.

How long does it take to install an Internal Unit?

The Internal Units can be erected and fully installed with all working appliances within 2 hours.

If something were to go wrong with the Unit, day or night, is there someone I can call?

Yes. During office hours 09:00 – 17:00 you can call our customer service team. Out of hours there is a an out of hours number to call, where a member of our service team will be able to assist you with the issue. The number is provided in the welcome pack provided.

Is the Modular Unit going to be an eyesore on a driveway or garden?

All our Modular Units are neat buildings with a modern finish. All panels are colour coded along with the door and window.

Will the Modular Unit or Internal Unit cause any damage to my property?

No! The Modular Units or Internal Units do not require any fixings to your property. The Modular Units are built on pads to protect your driveway, garden or other location. If it is placed on grass this area of grass may discolour, but only short-term.

Do you Deliver Nationwide?

Yes! We cover the whole of the UK, including Northern Ireland and the British Isles.

Do the Modular Units and Internal Units require electricity and water?

Yes, for both solutions Kitchen and Bathroom require electricity and water.

How secure are the Modular Units?

All our Modular units have a lockable front door with its own key for entry.
